Nice to
Monaco

Maison Savage designs, builds and installs fire kitchens, asado grills, braziers and fireplaces for villas along the eastern Riviera, from Nice and Villefranche to Cap Ferrat, Èze and Monaco. Every piece is made in our workshop in Fréjus, in heavy steel and natural stone, and is unique, signed and numbered.

What we build

• Signature Brazier: a wood-fired brazier with a 12 to 15 mm steel cooking ring, for 8 to 20 guests.
• Stone & Steel Hearth: a grill or plancha set into a stone base, with worktop and log store.
• Fire Kitchen: an Argentine-style asado grill with a wheel-raised grate, brazier and wood oven, with an optional smoker. Built for owners and for private chefs.
• Bespoke Fireplace: indoor or outdoor, in steel and stone.

Designed for cliffside terraces

Terraces on the Corniche and around Cap Ferrat are often narrow, steep and exposed to sea spray. We survey the site, plan access for delivery and installation, choose steel grades and finishes for salt air, and match the stone to your villa.

Working with your architect, villa manager or chef

Many owners on the eastern Riviera spend only part of the year here. We work directly with your architect, landscape designer, villa manager or private chef: realistic renderings of the piece in your terrace, technical sheets, installation coordinated with other trades, and opening and closing-season servicing so the kitchen is ready when you arrive.

Fire safety and local rules

The Alpes-Maritimes regulate the use of fire near wooded areas and require spark guards for private fires in exposed zones. Our fireboxes include spark guards and closing lids where the setting calls for it. For projects in Monaco, we check the applicable rules and formalities with you before work starts.

Timing

Site visit, design, quote, making and installation take several weeks. To cook on your terrace by early summer, the best time to start is between autumn and early spring.
